New to this forum, been a WRX MY05 SW owner for a year and a bit now.

Member of the Portuguese ScoobyPT.

The Uk being in my modest opinion the "powerhouse" of European Subaru owners and modifiers, I think it only makes sense that I enlist and learn something extra about the car I own!

I have come close to buying a Type25, but our laws regarding pollution and noise are very ambiguous and will most likely get the car impounded.......

So basically I'm on a search to improve my "girl" in any other way possible, of course legally! What better place than here to learn something!

You have noise and polution restrictions?
So go for something that doesn't make it louder.....go for bigger turbo, bigger injectors, ECU, Air box the lot....then you should be happy....

Unfortunately our laws seem to be a big hassle as far as noise & pollution goes, and most importers won't sign on the dotted line when it goes through customs and MOT, as they might "detect" some of the mods! Go figure!

Considering the laws you guys have, I would have thought we would be able to import cars like the Type25 & co. with not much hassle.

Too many laws, and too much paper work!

 

You can still get the bigger turbo as it's under a heat shield and hidden....the injectors are too and the ECU is ok.....they're the basics without going for noise and polution other than that...not too much you can do then.
