Does anyone on here own/driven a new WRX STI? What do you think of it compared to a P1 bearing in mind it has less horsepower? A salesman told me last week that it goes like the P1. Fact or Fiction?

I can't see how unless it's modded. It weighs more, and has less power.

 

If its the UK STi then there is no way its as quick as a P1.
A Jap STi 7 should be about the same as a P1.
Same power, slightly heavier but with shorter gear ratios.
A P1 will be quicker at the top end though.

 

I have test driven the jap version, it feels the same kind of acceleration.........but it is a different drive to the P1
