insurance question anyone
Anybody had experience of a car being stolen and not turning up.
A friend of mine had his M3 nicked about 4 weeks ago and is having little or no joy with the insurance company paying out at the mo' as the car has not been found.
Anyone had this happen and know how long this sort of stuff normally takes??
Cheers

4 weeks is pretty typical for actual claim settlement ie for you to receive an offer.
What exactly did the insurers say last time your mate called them ?

Sadly not.
Ours would supply a car if the stolen car was recovered but damaged, or if involved in an accident, if the car is stolen and not recovered (what happened to me) then it's a case of hire a car yourself and pay for it yourself.
I didn't dispute the amount offered by the Insurance thinking it would speed up my payment, it has taken eight weeks and lots of phone calls.
