Andy Forrest would be my recommendation, he's located in Edinburgh. Well worth the journey.

Why not join the rest of us North East guys at TyneTeesScoobies

Hi, give Paul Stabler a bell on 01325 358484. Paul is from Darlington, knows his stuff. My motor is going in tomorrow for the following mods.

VF23 turbo
Walbro fuel pump
Headers & up-pipe (ported, polished & wrapped)
Uprated oil pump
Timing belt change (Goodyear belt)
Oil & filter change (Millers 10/60)

Can't wait to get her back, should be pushing 270 -290 BHP.

New ECU & re-map to come after that.

Regards,
Phil.

I am not aware that Paul Stabler can do Tek3 remaps.

He doesn't. Takes them across the country somewhere. Can't remember where he said.

I actually use Bob Rawle (BR Developments)

My theory is, why spend a fortune on your car and then skimp on the mapping.

Both Bob and Andy are true professionals

Come back in a few months when you get your car back. Service is terrible there, so I hear.

i would never take mine back to Paul stabler either

prepare yourself for his testdrives, which involve high speed country lane shenanigans in your own car.

AVOID

the "borg and beck group n clutch" he fitted to mine, has just been removed, and wha dya know, its not borg and beck either

yup he "tested" mine as well down some twistys and TBH i was not very happy about it, i went with him in the first place as he had done a few mates cars, he "tested" theres as well

i could hear the ****en gravel rash bouncing off the bottom of my doors, i had just got my scooby and new nothing about them, so with him doing my mates cars, i assumed he was ok, sounds foolish, i know better now, avoid him.

Bit late with all the words of advice, the car is there now. Simple fact is if Paul does a poor job he gets **** all payment wise until i am happy with the car.
We'll see what comes out of it.

Cheers,

Phil.

I'll try my best to make one of these meetings. Work and a 10 month old always seem to be first.

If it's the same bloke I'm thinking off, didn't/doesn't he drive around in a Red Wagon? Looks a complete dog too. The car that is.
If that's him, then he looks a proper Chav. Blasts around Darlington's streets showing off to the other Chavs either speeding around the streets too, or sat in the car parks.

I wouldn't let him near my car if he was the only garage around for 100 miles.

Beginning to wish i hadn't said summit now. I wouldn't care a few months ago Paul had a really good rep on here. What's gone wrong?????????? Can only wait and see. Like i have mentioned, if the jobs not upto my standard then he gets **** all in readies. Simple as that. I can't judge the man on other peeps bad experiences. He's always done ok on my motor so far.

Phil.

he was still with his missus, when he did my car, he "test drove" my mates car and went to pick her up

you find that nobody will bother posting bad rep on this site, as 9/10 it gets pulled down anyway due to the **** way in which SN works

on the contrary you can suck somebody's **** and its allowed to stay forever

stevebt has been emailed saying he is going to get a "visit" LMFAO
