Default Tyre R interior problem

the previous owner of my type r was clearly handy with the silver paint brush and has very unsuccessfully painted the window switch panels and glove box button covering the original red paint. Trouble is its now bubbling all over and the paint flaking off. I could just scrap off the remaining bits but doubt if i will get all of it, especially round the edges of the window switch panels. Looks really very tatty now.

is there anything on the market that I could use to get a better finish and that wouldn't damage the original red paint, or can you cheaply just replace the switch covers?

I would go for replacing the switch covers. I dont think that there is anything around that would give you the finish that i am guessing you are after. Nip down to you local Subaru dealer as most parts are the same as the P1.

are the covers easily to replace? Had a quick look last night and they seem very well fitted down and I couldn't see an obvious way of releasing them.

any clues?
