Default Scooby Tuning

What are good engine mods for Scoobies around '98, I'm thinking 3" sytem from the turbo, BOV, FMIC, Mayby a bigger turbo, filter (god knows what one though, prob Jetex as i can get them dirt cheap and they seem to have worked well on a fair few 200 - 300 BHP saxo/106's i know of), dry cell bettery. Thing is I don't want to go to mental as i need to drive 20miles a day in it and don't like running 2 cars as i have been doing recently.

Any euggestions/info/input gladly taken on board

Thanks

Hi mate

I started with a decat on my UK97 - open nick downpipe; scoobysport 3.5" back box. Progressed to running a little more boost via an HKS EVC 5 boost controller along with a fuel pump and FPR. Added Samco hoses; larger TD05FE turbo and Powertec air filter then brought all the mods together on a Apexi pcf ecu mapped by Andy F.

I retained the standard 380 injectors and TMIC though I did need a new clutch (although it was original and had done 84k).

TD04 with mods netted 296bhp/280lb
TD05FE with map saw this rise to 320/300 with mental mid range.

Brakes and suspension mods were worthwhile as well...........................

Total cost was under £2k

Good luck.
