Import charges apply circa £20 upwards which is why your dvd's and laserdiscs will get sent in small quantities from most places, bear in mind though once you get one lot of iimported stuff checked by HMS Customs you'll probably be marked address there after.

The couriers have to declare to customs what the value and contents of the parcel is. But with normal post it should get through. That's why you get away with a few DVDs. I got stuffed about a year ago and since then have made sure they post not courier everything and it has been fine.
