Richard Hammond seriously ill following a car crash (not a wind up)

Just been on the radio that the Hamster is seriously ill following a crash after he was attempting to break a speed record.

I'm going off to see if I can find anymore.

Hopefully he'll get well soon

Update: Apparently he was driving a jet powered car, he deployed the parachute at about 280mph, the car veered off and turned over 'several times'

I've always liked Richard on Topgear, he's a great presenter. I wish him well and hope he recovers soon.

EDIT: Just heard he walked away from crash and walked to the air ambulance. However things might have got worse for him after that. Details still sketchy.
