I have searched previous posts, but still have questions.
My Ford dealer can supply these strips already body coloured to Ford colours for <£90. More than Subaru ones but look ten times better IMHO. I reckon Ford Stardust Silver is very similar to Subaru Royal Silver. I would think silver is a bit less colour sensitive for a match than other colours.
Has anyone fitted them? Do I need old Mondeo (up to 96ish) or Newish Mondeo strips? The old ones I have seen on an old V6 and they have a third piece for the back of the wheelarch just in front of the front door shutline which may look better on the Scoob as it has a channel here as well. The newer Mondeos have two slightly more curvaceous (at the ends) strips - one on each door. Do they actually fit into the channel running along the side of the Scoob, cos they would look a bit silly being so thin if they went below like the Subaru ones. The reason I ask is I have to order them before seeing them except already on a Mondeo - I will take a tape measure and the car along and do a comparison if no one here knows already, and will post results if it looks half decent. I need to do something to stop me being paranoid of the baked bean tin quality door skins in carparks! (I used to have a Punto with no side protection and after one year in Edinburgh it looked terrible).
Any Mondy + Scooby owners like to comment?
Any style police like to put me away for more blasphemy - I even thought about rear 6x9 speakers the other day
BTW, the wife thinks those 3d carbon fibre effect headlight/foglight protectors look awful as fitted to our Scoob now. I think they look fine, but they did look better on a P1 in Sonic blue!

I checked with the Ford dealer - £86 for the four doors (post 96 Mondeo). (£114 for the pre 96 with the third section). Flat section with adhesive - 25mm. This is too thick to go INTO the Scooby groove, but might look OK below it - then again it might not! Need to park up by a silver Mondeo for colour match and check the lengths also.
I would also be interested in these, but I don't think you're on a winner. Every time I park next to another silver car, the other car seems 'greyer' and the Scoob seems 'yellower'. Recent comparisons include a silver Saxo and a silver Z3. I'll try to find a Mondeo.
