PX WRX 300
Hi guys,
Did a search, nothing new the last few months.
Anybody sold, or PX their WRX300? Offered £13500, which I think is a standard WRX trade in, as it should be around £15500.
Would assume I would be good for £16-17k private?
Anybody got ride of their pride and joy?

i would think you would be struggling to get the 16 to 17K private mate, i have had no interest in mine (MY05 WRXPPP) priced at 14K.
Check the autotrader for similar cars and keep an eye on them

firstly, forget parkers guide, its commonly reffered to as a comic in the motor trade.
All traders use Glasses guide, the fat silver one that costs a fortune, any one in the trade will know exactly what im talking about.
Secondly, if a guide says its worth 14K and someone offers you 12K for it, i ask you this, what is your car really worth.
Its all very well some book telling you one thing, but if no one offers you the price your asking for your car, its not worth that amount is it,
SOMETHING IS ONLY WORTH WHAT SOMEONE ELSE IS PREPARED TO PAY FOR IT, DEALER OR TRADER......

there are a couple in the subaru network for sale, one with 16000 miles for 16999 and a couplefor 18-19.
trade in i would think 14-15500. take the ltd edition brochure with ya when you get prices.

At the end of the day I was asking if anyone had sold or PX their WRX300 for reference. There is one on Autotrader at 16k, so I will start thinking around that price...

i hear what your saying mate.
I went to trade mine in at a local mitsi garage where a good friend of mine works, they wouldnt sell the car, so they checked the price in the glasses guide, it booked last month at just under the 14K mark. Great i thought, that was until he called the 2 nearest dealers in the northeast, they both made a sub 12K offer for the car. So, the mitsi dealer could only match that of the dealer. He also tried 2 indipendant dealers, and they didnt want to know at all.
I will give my mate a buzz this afternoon, as i know they have a way of pricing the LTd edditions that are not listed, the glasses guide usually tells them to give a % increase IIRC. I will ask and post later tonight or in the morning.

FSTi nice. you were offerd 13500 against one of them? do you have the ltd edition brochure for the 300? got all the info on for the dealer and the list price. not saying you payed the list price but 21.5K a year n a bit ago may up there offer. maybe not the one that has already given the price but others might.

why is everyone selling their "pride and joy". I just bought a wrx300 (2005) with 15000 miles from a main subaru dealer for £15000. also got a great trade in price and a free coat

Guess we have to be realistic. New MY05 are 20k with 3k off for fuel, so 17k. I guess 15k is looking the top limit....
Damn Subaru and their free fuel offer. This is twice I've been f@#ked over by Subaru. I am still fuming over them bringing out a STI Type UK six months after releasing the P1, therefore devaluing the P1 by 6k.....grumble grumble...and that was six years ago...
Put myself down on the list of interested on the new Civic Type R as well...

I am considering the 14k trade in, doesnt seem that bad. Is anyone else jacked off by Subaru devaluing cars by bringing out offers? Yeah, its great for a noob, but I am sure the majority of 'new' Subaru buyers are already Subaru owners?

yeah, im hacked off at the resale values, i knew they were never good, but not once did i think they were this bad.
Mine is white, and every dealer i have come across says, oh no, not white, you will never sell it. Yet every individual, says it really stands out in white.
No offence, but it makes a refreshing change from the usual WR Blue, (i know urs is a LTD eddition)

Totally agree with the devaluation of the marque and the brand. Every 6 months they either refresh the car or provide things like free PPP or free fuel - all of which are just ways of saying they knnow the car chnages every year and thus they need to sell them on. Most manfacturers ahve a shelf life of 3-4 years for a car before they instigate changes. Subaru like to do it far too frequently. It;s only when you come to sell you realise that they are too many offers and your car is worth way less than it should be...

i didnt get the SL,
on the test drive, the one i took out had leather. it was dangerous lol. My skinny *** couldnt stay in the seat lol, i was sliding allover the seat lol

thats a shame. change over price for a facelift fsti would almost be twice the trade in price im guessing.
I suppose with the fsti being available at only a handfull of places the dealers will prob offer you less as there aint many other place to go.
