if you are looking at a jap import, make sure your clued up on the vin plates and model codes etc, so you dont end up buying a dodgy or god forbid stolen car... can happen if your naive enough.

£3500 is a decent budget and should get you a early classic in decent nick... i personally prefer the imports for the extra standard power but history can be a stalling point for imports.

good luck anyway, and try ebay too, but view before bidding!

How coincidental...

I'm awaiting delivery of a Jap import 93/94 WRX (237bhp) through a company based in Petersfield, Hamphire (send me a private email for contact info., etc.).

The proprietor can probably get you a very clean 93/94 example with approx 75,000 warranted miles for £3,500 - this is what's happening with me. The car will be prepped for sale and will have 12mths MOT, 6mths warranty and 6mths tax. He'll be able to fit a CAT 1 immobiliser for £100 or full immob./alarm for £276.

If you give him a £100 deposit, then his man in Japan will cherry-pick a great example. The deposit guarantees that the car will be yours if you want it...

I went down there on Friday (25th) and he's already found a suitable car - he's gonna post some pictures to me tonight (30th)!
