Default Where have I been??

On re-con missions all over the place.......

Been a while since i've posted on here....this is due to enjoying the summer and testing the car in many different situations.....
Cruising, handling, dragging, ********.....er......ahem.

Fallen in love with it all over again? you bet ya......
Still pi$$ing on all manor of fords, porkers, civics and the like? definately......

But I do have one slight grumble......

Why oh why oh why oh why do I (you or anyone for that matter) still get those "stupid little cars" trying to have a go.
Like Ford Fiesta ST's.......(and their larger counter-parts)
Whats the point? and not ford fiesta st's driven by kids, i'm talking about grown men sitting right in the bumper and trying to stick to me like **** to a blanket??
No chance, not proving a point and do you really enjoy that feeling of putting your foot down and seeing the other car pull away as if you were standing still, knowing there is nothing you can do but wait till I slow down??

I drive my car and enjoy the fact it's my decision when I want to drive briskly or not.....but come on, don't bother.....

Let the caining begin......

Hey tripple O G, how ya doing: thought it was getting a bit quiet on here!

You think you've got problems with Fiesta STs? The other day I had Yet another encounter with the mighty........................wait for it................Suzuki (Sp?) Swift 1.0. Every time I see this car he tries it on at the lights, and every time I just point and laugh and let him scurry off in a cloud of wheel spin whilst I just cruise off. I just can't be bothered with em!

Oh and one small thing, since we last spoke, my car has undergone a few mods: https://www.scoobynet.com/api-and-br....html?t=527345

All the best,

Maybe they were just driving normally, as some Chav in a Scoob roared off into the distance, then bragged to his mates about beating a TVR, 360 etc, etc.

Edited for spelling

Maybe you'd like to hear the story with the modena as you blatantly have nothing better to do then try to call me up....

At the Moby stilover lights.....sorry..... I meant Moby-D!ck lights minding my own buisness when the modena pulls up next to me.
The driver was some fat greek looking bloke with a pretty little blonde thang sitting in the seat next to him...(isn't there always a pretty blonde thing sat there??)
anyway, i'm just about to compliment him on his fine choice of automobile when he revs his engine and shouts, "wanna go for it?"
How could I refuse.....
So on comes the anti-lag to which his smile starts to fade....
"Whats in that?" he asks....
"Too late" I reply......

Lights change, he at least waits till green, and off we go.....

Not quoting speeds but I was a good few lengths in front until higher speeds where I decided to back off, point proved.

He didn't even look at me.....but at something rather interesting on his radio....
time for a cheeky wink to the passanger (it was returned) and then carried on my plod home.....

Hey trails, long time no speak.

No didn't fall of the planet but have been messing around with jobs and all that.....you know what it's like, kept saying i'll log on, i'll log on but always seemed to run out of time...
How you been keeping?

Did she not just have something in her eye ????

Plus, I think she'll be more impressed with his Ferrari, and the expensive gifts she gets off him, than some wolly with an illegal Anti-lag system (That she won't even know or care what Lag is) in a Tuned up Chav-moblie, with Dump Valve hissings shouting "To Late" like he's in some kind of Hollywood movie.
Also when he gets home, and ****'s his stunning Gold digging girlfriend, I'm sure he'll forget all about it.

Did you not ask if he wanted to race for Pink slips ???

Hi mate,
Yes, I'm a Kent boy (car park of England) Would be good to sort out a meet. I keep meaning to get more involved with the social scene -Kent Scoobies (nice bunch though they are) aren't nearly as proactive as the Essex bunch, who seem very into the social scene- but have never quite got around to it. Bluewater is very easy for me to get to though.

It does amuse me that people are so incredulous when they hear of a reasonably highly tuned classic (i.e. over 300bhp) winning a little confrontation with exotica. I know it's not a very SN- PC thing to say, but these cars are "pretty damned quick" you know.

And before anyone starts with the "another person who thinks Scoobies are the quickest/most desireable cars on the planet", I don't one little bit. I have friends that earn considerably more than I do (Bastewards ) that own exotica (double barstweards ) and they all love the Scooby and recognise the car for what it is: an affordable performance car icon.
