Scooby wave and all that

Scooby wave and all that
I've read and posted in the various threads surrounding the scooby wave.
My posts echoed the ignorance of the so called higher class bug/blob eye scooby drivers who simply would not respond to me, a mere classic sti ra driver.
BUT all I get waves from now are new shape drivers.
I take back everything, well almost everything I ever posted about them.
Saw a very fast bug eye comming towards me last week, must've been doing in excess of a ton through a 40, cant beleive he still managed to flash his lights and put his thumb upto me wearing a huge grin.
I nearly turned around thinking I was gonna find him in the hedge on the aproach to the nasty chicane he was heading for. CRAZY

i always wave (blobeye) unless in my own little world usually thinking about what to do next to the car
but i do think there are more people that just buy car and have no clue about the scooby wave which from these you either get a look of your a weirdo or when you wave and flash they obviously think there car must be on fire!

I always wave (53 blob STI) but am on the 3rd one now since original classic 97.
I think its some of these new first time owners? who dont know they should wave.
Cant get the girlfriend to wave when she's driving me home from the pub tho'.
I've also noticed, now I'm back biking again that there seems to be an equivalent 'nod' between bikers round here (leeds) so I nod back.

scooby wave...
I always wave! Classics are the friendliest people, but suffered a quandry the other day... got a wave from an old boy in a Forester- is it rude not to wave back?

Well I'm from Beds and it's about 50/50 down here. I always wave (if I see em coming...lol), a few return the wave and a few don't. Had both the classic and bug eye shapes. Just getting my 1st STi on Friday (all being well) so I'll be beaming from ear to ear if you see a black un flying about Bedfordshire...hehe.
Keep waving guys and gals!
Paul.

saw a 54 plate blob eye today on a set of lights in scunny near the steelworks for any body who knows where im referring to. give a flash or two, and the three posh sunglass wearing, cappucino drinking, cigar smoking, toff reps just pointed and laughed at me. was it because "all" i have is a classsic wrx import? or because they are driving the bosses car and have no idea about the secret laws of scoob driving?
i was annoyed but let it drop and felt sorry for them in a way in their "penthouse, higher level" standard of closed mind life.
apologies for the stereotype for decent reps if they exist...

I always wave........ always. I mean it's just rude not to.
However if people feel the need not to then thats OK.
Foresters and Legacys never, ever wave. In fact most of them look at you as if you have just crapped on their bonnet.
Classics usually don't bother.
Bug eyes sometimes do ( there is one in Kent however who I have waved at three or four times now, just outside Canterbury, without getting any response)
Blob eyes are the most enthusiastic with the most waves and hawk eyes are running at 100% as I have only ever come across one
