Important NIP question
Yes yes slap on wrist, I've been a bad boy n gone n got another NIP Question to all you Knowledgeable snetters. On the form u get with the NIP, it says current points are valid for 3 years, but must stay on your license for 4. Does this simply mean they are left on my license/their records for 4 years, but they don't actually count towards your overall points total after 3 years or not?
So if I had a couple of 3 pointers in Jan 2003 n April 2003, are these now dead?
Please could someone answer and put my mind at rest, thank you for your time.

They can be removed from your driving licence after four years but insurers may ask about convictions within the last five years (limited by the 1974 Rehabilitation of Offenders Act I believe).
