Yarm/ kirklevington. They were actually selling the petrol off cheap at Cannon Park the day before they closed Give Tesco's 99 a blast - you can find it at Dixon's Bank.

yip yarm is nearest shell but beware their prices have gone stupid lately 99.9p to 106.9 in about 10 days. tesco dixons bank 99 ron i think thats up to 102.9p now quite steady prices up there. actually cheaper than most 97 ron petrol garages in the area: cannon park has been sold to priory next door(gone for good)

My tomtom has a habit of taking me to shells that no longer exist or have changed to bp, very annoying to say the least!

Hi mate, ive had to switch to tesco 99 since the shell garage has gone (can't be bothered to drive to g'bro/yarm for it) ive done 500miles on tesco (still using millers) and no problems yet. Although BP ultimate makes my car feel like ive put diesel in it

If you're in strife over where to find your nearest Shell garage for that beloved Optimax this is a garage finder site from Shell Uk which could come in very useful - just put in your postcode and it will tell you where the nearest ones are and also provide links to a map of the area

Trouble is, it still shows garages as being open, that closed 12+ months ago - North Rd, Darlington for example.
