How much is optimax, where you live...

104.9 at the bottom of my road, but 101.9 3 miles away At 23 mpg that would take me 1.2 litres of fuel there and back, costing 122p! so I would need to buy 40litres to break even! (can you tell I'm bored?

Today BP announced profits of £7bn for thr first quarter! that is 3 months!
They said that the profit is nothing to do with the profit on petrol and
that majority is govenrment tax (which i agree).
However! my local BP is charging 97.9 per litre of unleaded. My mate who
lives in Watford tells me that Unleaded is 92.9! so therefore immediately
there is a 5p per litre profit straight away (This is if watford station is
not making any profit) Therefore one tanker carries 36000 litres of petrol
and my local has two deliveries a week. therefore that makes 72000 litres.
Therefore with a bit of simple math 72000 * .05p = £3600/wk profit. and that
is just unleaded. Think about it, they sell superunleaded £1.05 a litre.
Ultimate diesel £1.05 a litre and Diesel 99.9 a litre.
So even if they are making the same profit margins for the rest of the
petrol that they sell They will be making at LEAST £14400/wk*4 = £57600 per
month *12 = £691200 a year. and that is only ONE petrol station. and to
think that all the petrol stations are making profit so the 5p a litre i
have allow is just the tip of the iceberg!
It also seems that BP are the first to put up petrol and the last to bring
it down! All i would like to say, " THEY ARE RIP OFF MERCHANTS!"
and to blame it on the government is hypocrytical! they are bad as each
other.
And finally (before my head explodes) BP drills oil and the refines the oil
in to petrol So therfore they will not charge their own petrol stations for
the own petrol that they made themselves so therefore EVEN MORE PROFIT!
it is just a pity we, the motoring public can not do anything as we need
petrol to get around.
Also, let me start about this poxy government. they charge fuel Duty they
charge VAT 17.5% so in reality they are taxing the duty ! When they say
that they freeze fuel duty to make themselves to look good, it is a load of
dog s*** they have no interest in trying to keep the cost of oil down
because the goverment get tax per barrel of North Sea oil that they produce
and then they get more tax due to the VAT as petrol is nearly £1 per litre!
p**s takers the lot of them.
Boycott BP BOYCOTT LABOUR.¬!!!
there i feel much better now, i am letting the red go of my my head which
was absolutly fuming steam comming out everywhere! ARGH!!!!!!!

Just to clarify the govt does NOT tax VAT on the duty price of petrol. It charges 17.5% on the petrol wholesale price. It then also charges fuel duty on the same wholesale price and adds the taxs on to give the all in one price.
