Ask Shaun, you might, if you're very lucky, get an answer. I seriously doubt it though. Seems to be very cagey about what happened. The forum had to relocate hosts, why? no idea and as said, no information is forthcoming.

Not so, for example:

here's a thread from the "old" ( .co.uk) forum:

http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/showthread.php?t=471684

All you need to do is change the .co.uk bit to .com, so for that thread you'd end up with:

https://www.scoobynet.com/non-scooby-related-4/471684-essential-albums-of-the-last-40-years.html

use that link and it'll work

Guys - don't change your thread favourites for good - once the DNS change has propogated, I'm sure that scoobynet will be back as a .co.uk - I suspect that the .com was available and bought just to allow the move to the new servers....

OK, it's possibly a DNS caching issue. the .co.uk was not working for me, I've since flushed my DNS cache and the .co.uk site is now working.

Here's how to do it:

Mac:
Fire up Terminal (Utilities>Terminal) and execute the command:
lookupd -flushcache

Windows 2000/XP:
Fire up a Command Prompt (Start Menu>Accessories) and execute the command:
ipconfig -flushdns

Markus, wouldn't "Empty Cache" in the Safari menu do the same thing.

Doesn't matter though as it only took 2 mins to update my bookmarks and homepage.
