How to remove rain guard clips
Hi there
I have a 94 Impreza WRX import, one of the rain guards broke, so i decided to remove them as I have discovered they are really hard to find. But I can't figure out how to remove the retaining clips without damaging the door seal. I mean can I just yank them out with pliers? I keep meeting resistance and am scared of doing damage.
Any advice appreciated.
Many thanks

Me too.
Pull them out with pliers (making sure that you pull in the right direction), the resistance is the indent in the clip.
Please give me a shout if you find an inexpensive replacement, Subaru charge a fortune!!!

Thanks!! I did find a site some time back, but I think it was in the USA, but I think they ship here I just thought I would keep searching at the time. I will check to see if I still have their web address and post later (sorry just on my way out).
Can you just confirm correct direction? Down or up? Pulling the clips that is

Whoah there. I think I've got my wires crossed. I was talking about the trim that runs from the bonnet to the boot (black metal) and you're talking about the clip-on transparent window deflectors?
Sorry mate, I'll have a look tomorrow and see if I can figure out how they come off.

That could be my fault, have now discovered they are referred to as wind deflectors! Might have made finding a replacement one easier.. my bro-in-law who sold me the car said they were rain guards.
I am selling it now tho so no point in spending that kind of money..
Any suggestion for getting rid of clips would be appreciated tho.
