Form follows function...spoliers do nothing therefore why have a huge ugly erection that doesn't match the flow of the bodyshell stuck on your boot?
The later the scoob and more fancy letters after the word "impreza", the worse the spoiler, it's not as if the cars sticks out like a sore thumb enough as it is without a pair of tea trays on the boot.
For that reason small, preferably UK MY98-00

Big STi style for me
Big spoilers are made for Impreza's and Evo's, low level versions look pants in my opinion.

Whilst looking before I bought my car I was quite specifically looking for the low spoiler as I didn't fancy carrying a picnic table around with me. But now my view has changed. I now think the big spoiler looks great but more I think it might help me with handling as the car feels a bit light and loose at the back end at high speed cornering. Will a higher wing give me better grip at speed?
I really would like the S202 rear carbon wing but if not I will fit the high STi one eventually.

I've got the STI ironing board at the moment, I'm looking to replace it with a Spec C spoiler, another option is to get hold of an S204 spoiler, they are awesome - expensive though me thinks

My first Impreza, a MY01 WRX had a low level spolier which I swapped for a Scoobysport (blast from the past) high level wing.
My second Subaru was an STi V Type R which of course had a sail on the back.
If I were to do the whole Impreza thing again I would have a nice low spolier. Must be my age.

I had this same dilema a few weeks ago, only for a classic.
I have a classic sti type RA which had a low level spoiler.
I quite fancied a V5 high level spoiler but it was taking forever to find a genuine one at the right price. And when I did find them I failed to bid (ebay).
My mate went and bought an RB5 with the v4 mid level spoiler and thought about getting a v4 for mine as its not so " in your face".
But then I had the same problem you have now.
Until I saw a photo (in snet gallery) of 2 classics together one with high and the other with a low level.
The high level just shouts look at me.
Whereas the lower looks more subtle IMO.
Mine now wears the mid level V4 spoiler

Interesting, when I was looking for a classic scoob I kinda wanted a low level one, my mate had a low level on a green classic and I really liked it.
I ended up with a MY00 uk turbo with a mid level spoiler. At first I didnt like it too much, now I love it and wouldnt want a low level one. I still dont like over the top angular spoilers but I think the mid level is just right.
It was nice to drive to hastings at the weekend and look in the rear view mirror to see the sun glinting off the spoiler. Cool.

I've got a lovely mid level UK300 spoiler on mine, goes really well with the dark blue IMO!!!
Not to big not too small, and only people who are real enthusiasts know what it is.
Love it!!!
