optimax is it watered down?
I was talking to a friend who runs and races Renaults and I normally take everything he says as gold, but after I said what fuel I put into my WRX I got nothing but tuts!
He stated that optimax was found to be watered down! tests showed in some cases as low as 75ron and BP one with a booster should be what I use (or Teco he said but i can not get that around here).
I have only every run on Optimax and a booster and had no problems, + if you test the vapour then it will not be the 98ron anyway surely.
Is he talking crap or what?

I've had water in optimax. But this isn't "watered down" its just crap fuel - due it being a lesser used fuel. Like any other Super Unleaded fuel sold at anyother station
Always found 95Ron to be more consistant in quality. Whilst 98Ron, or 97ron for that, goes up and down in quality on a regular basis.

the ONLY thing that happens to high RON fuel is that they can start to lose the RON and start to deteriorate after a period of time,im not really sure by how much or over what amount of time, but if you use a petrol station that has a good turn over that wont happen either.
As for watered down fuel,un fookin believable,i doubt that very much
