octane booster in the land of 95 ron petrol
All
I am traveling soon to a far flung island for a bit of fun in my my00 wrx classic type ra, however i found out today that on this particular island they only ever get 95 ron stuff. I knew they didnt have optimax so was hoping i could use super unleaded with some millers octane plus, this plan is now out the window cause using millers octane plus will only give me 2 ron points bringing it to 97 ron.
My question is can i safely use another octane booster like say something that will boost the ron of standard unleaded up by 4 or 5 points, i have seen these types around but unsure if its safe enough to use with my model of impreza.
Please help as trip is coming up soon and i need to get things organised.
thanks

Millers do booster with 3 and 4 ron ratings however each bottle will only treat 20litres of fuel and not 50 litres as their standard booster does so the cost per tank will be more. Also the higher rated booster's aren't so Cat friendly if used regually but this isn't a problem if you're DeCatted. I'd imagine these issues would be the same with other manufacturer's.

i have seen the higher octane millers stuff, when you say "arent so cat friendly if used regular", would 3 or 4 tanks full be a issue ? i might get away with that without damage to cat ?
what do you think ?
