Default Help, 05 STi PPP Problem -irratic idle causing engine stalling.....

My revs keep dying when I stop in traffic. They drop to below 500 then bounce back up to over 1k then settle to idle at about 750. Occasionally they drop below 500 and the engine cuts out.

I thought it may be a dodgy fuel problem but this has been happening for 2 tanks now.

Anyone know what this could be?

Its getting annoying restarting the engine every 10-15 mins.

Cheers.

Dan

I think your problem is the colour of your car, Being white the paint has no lead in it so the cars not as heavy as any of the other colours!,Bearing this in mind this would allow the car to rev quicker and higher causing major damage to the engine internals, so get yourself down to your nearest subaru main dealer and insit on total rebuild.

Or i might be way off, and it's probally the air flow sensor playing up.... Find a scooby specialist near you and give them a bell, they should be able to sort you out.
