Default cooland sensor

if the coolant sensor is playing up will this cause the engine to hunt and make the engine managment light come on, also would it make it go higher and lower in the revs when idling, cheers guys,

It's quite likely to be the MAF sensor or Lambda sensor. Very common on scoobs.

Is your car a 1999/2000 classic?

its a 95 m reg uk turbo m8, the guy said that he thinks its the coolant sensor cause the fans come on when ever they feel like it.
