Any difference in intercoolers?
Hi all,
One of my mates has a 98 'S' UK impreza with the prodrive upgrade kit on it. He has bought a sti intercooler from an import STI of the same year to fit to his car. He assumed the STI one would be bigger and better etc but when he took both off they seem the same. except the outlets on the Uk one appear to be plastic whereas the STI one is metal.
the simple question is, is there any difference or has he just bought an intercooler for nothing.
cheers guys and gals

hello mate i think your right...ive just upgraded my intercooler from the old slanty type(my93wrx)to a sti ver 5 intercooler...and whilst i was looking into buying the only difference i could find between both the ones that you mentioned was the colour and the metal pipeing as you suggested.
hope this helps mate....im sure someone will correct me if im wrong...
