"A friend of mine" was zapped with a mobile gun on A1(M) at 102mph.
The Copper told him that the offence would be dealt directly by Huntingdon Magistates Ct.
Anyone know how long it takes for something to come through?

anything from a few months to several..
I got zaped afew years back, i did not get convicted till 1 year later...then was banned from driving for 2 months...was doing 61mph in a 40mph zone!
Anything above 100mph is usually a straight Ban though he may get lucky and be let off like the recent coppers who were cought driving at stupid speeds!
Good Luck..

Do a bit of research on the net as i've just got my missus off another 3 points......i've told the mad mare that she'll be on the bus to work each day if she gets any more tickets as i pay quite enough for my trade policy already
There are a few "loopholes" that may possibly get you off but thats up to you if you follow the suggestions as it's always a possibility that a court appearance may result in more points and a higher fine
Always worth a try in my book as you've got two chances

As the coppers stopped your mate and told him that it was going to court rather than through the FPN route it may well be nearly 6 months before you get the summons through. Many of the reliable defences depend to some extent on the NIP being issued by one of the automated policing devices rather than by a police officer so the defences are rather more limited.
If your mate believes that he wasn't travelling at 102mph then it is important he gets to see all the evidence against him, in all probablility there will be a video for example. He should take advice from pepipoo before even asking for this and should under no circumstances engage in any communications with police or partnership without taking advice.
However, your mate needs to read it very carefully, once the summons arrives, and see exactly what he is being charged with. If it is anything other than just speeding then he needs a good motoring solicitor PDQ. If his licence is important to him or he would find a ban tricky then again he needs to get professional advice as this case is likely to be more difficult than the average camera case which can, in almost all instances, be won.
When looking for a solicitor get one who specialises in motoring cases rather than just some bloke who spends all day doing the paperwork for divorces or similar. On the resources page of the ABD site there is a list of solicitors who specialise in motoring stuff:
