France and headlight convertors
Off to France soon. Will the headlight convertors from Halfrauds suffice on a blobeye or is a trip to the dealers in order?

Normaly the stick on ones from Halfrauds work OK, although I have no idea if there is a templete for blobeye included. Are you planning on driving at night ?? do you really need them ??

I'm there for a week, not planning on driving in the dark but if this p1ssing down rain continues I'm gonna need them. Might have to borrow Clarksons Toybota.

electrical tape every time!!!
If in doubt buy the Halfrauds kit once for the diagrams of what to blank out then 'lecy tape from then on.
I don't think the MY06 HIDs will need it, so my fun is over

Went thru France, Belgium, Luxembourg and Germany last year, just turned the headlight levellers all the way down.. we didn't have any problems.

Been twice now in my Bugeye for the 24hr. Never bothered doing anything, although keep a roll of black insulation tape in the glove compartment. The correct kits look far too complicated for me !!!!!

On no account should you use any type of headlamp converters whilst driving in France. Believe me I've driven up and down the country on several occasions in British cars.
What's the worst you're going to do, **** off the french!?!?
You'll see them tailgate at 120, overtake on blind bends but god forbid an english man should drive fast on their soil - whatever you do you'll get flashed and gestured at. Nothing floats my boat more than a fly by of some ****ty renault well into 3 figures. To be fair their lane disipline is much better than our countrys sad example, allowing you to go even faster
