Default M25 Speed Cameras

Does anyone know if the Average Speed Cameras erected on M25 between the A10 & M11 stretch are temporary because of the road works or permanent?

They will only be temporary (if you can call 78 weeks temporary!!).

When were they put up? Been down there a few times over the last few weeks and never noticed them...?

Not that you ever get the chance to speed on the M25 even if you wanted too!!

Default Speed Cams

Okay, they've been put on what appear to be permanent posts.

They've been there about 2 weeks now and there at least 3 sets of cams on each side of the carrigeway.

Nasty things....

I assume that you didn't notice the reduction to 2 lanes either then?!!!

I may be wrong, but I thought they had been there about 3 weeks (certainly the last 2 weekends).

They always go up on those Blue posts. It helps people to recognise them (though it is surprising the number of people that slow down just before the camera and then speed up!!). To be honest there is not real temporary solution to putting posts up for something like that anyway.

If it's only the last two weekends then no, I won't have noticed it as it was probably a good couple of weeks ago the last time I was down there

They must be absolutely gutted after the last w/e then. At no time was I able to do more than about 30mph through the roadworks.

Saturday - sheer weight and 15mph
Sunday - all clear on trafficnet, then 2 lanes closed due to an accident before I got there.
