Exclamation Brembo Brakes

There is a guy selling Brembo brakes on Ebay from a 2006 Impreza, please be careful guys and girls as they hardly fit anything (backs dont and Pcds are completely different).

Just a Warning.

calipers and discs are the same, what has changed is the PCD or bolt fitment from 5x100 to 5x114.5..................

you could sort out new discs or there are peeps offering to re-drill the originals.........

Can I just clarify - on the rear is it just the discs that don't fit ? By that I mean can you use the calipers and pads on a pre 05 car without mods ?

Is there a ready available kit for the rear conversion????

I bought all 4 callipers ages ago, fronts are fantastic but back callipers have been sitting in the shed as I was led to believe that STi hubs were needed, which only fit STi half shafts, which only fit STi 6-speed box and prop???

If anyone knows of a conversion kit, I'm sure there are loads of people who would be interested!!!!

Cheers Mark, will have to sell them then, got new Brembo disks and pads with them too!

- just incase you are doing the same -

my front Brembo's are fantastic compared to the standard front's!!

Bedford and Snetterton, they have never faded once with standard Brembo disks, braided hoses, 5.1 fluid and DS2500 pads!!!

ive got some brembo brakes for my my00 classic and also need to get the discs redrilled because of the different pcd, my mate is an engineer and he said he can measure and drill them out no problem but im unsure of how to tell him the measurments and what measurements to give him, does anyone know? could i give him my old disc and let him get the measurements off that or is there a beeter way? as for the rears,is it just possible to retain the standard my00 vented disc an make up a mounting bracket to fit the brembo caliper on?

thanks james

tell him the discs need drilling out to a 5 x 100 PCD , they are currently 5 x 114 , just drill another set of holes in between the existing ones , you will end up with 10 holes in the discs , but it wont cause any problems

There are conversion kits available from the States to fit the Brembo's to the rear.....in this case after the drilling work for earlier cars.

had the same issue, but I'd done my home work before buying!! Got Godspeed to redrill the PCD and got him to groove them at the same time, only took about an hour to drill and groove them.

As for the rears I sold them on, it worked out about £450-500 to get them to fit
