Speeding and disparate sentencing
Ex Labour leader speeding M4 (57mph in a temporary 40, 63mph in a temporary 50) fined £400 for each offence and under the totting up procedure a six month ban.
12 y-o killed in minibus driven by uninsured and unlicensed male, was said to have been "mucking about" before incident, vehicle ended up on its roof.
Fine £250 bannned for six months for careless driving.
Conclusion: exceeding the speed limit is a more heinous "crime" than taking a life (well it is if you're part of the judiciary).
