Anyone now what the current waiting list is like for the MY01. Surely it won't be 12 months like MY98/99.

Interesting to see if demand increases when they fit rally seats as standard. Can't believe the first batch doesn't, sliding all over the place.

I hate to post negative comments and the new Scoob has had it's fair share already. But, my opinion is, they will need to do more than put rally seats in the car to create a waiting list. The headlights should be replaced with the WRC rally car lights, as well as the bodyshell. As for the spoiler... It looks like a straightened boomerang.

You're right, I'm not saying it's a great looking motor. But if I was to get one, new headlights and rally seats would be a pull.

I was just wondering if Scooby dealers have had their golden era in the late 90s and the Japanese design 'gurus' have gone some way to ruining brisk business.

 

Talked to my dealer today and they said they had 6 orders for the new model, with delivery early next year. Hardly seems worth the risk of putting down a deposit.

I don't like the idea of getting the wrong seats and headlamps either -just another reason for the dealers to stitch you up again come trade in time. There'll probably be a facelift as well just to add more pain to the first few buyers who can't wait.
