Nice one Adam, I agree.
Coming from East London but now living in Loughton I dislike being called an Essex boy.
It just happens that a fella down my road has purchased an STi not so long ago. And there's at least four others that I'm aware of......
......they're all lurking about somewhere!!

Hi eliot
I'm near Harlow and I dont see many other Scoobys either, other than a silver 5 door (who does not wave). What do you drive and I will look out for you (I've a UK300). Jen

eliot,
I am from essex (southend in fact) and although i dont live there anymore have seen loads haunting areas such as basildon macdonalds lats on friday night. I am not so sure that they are from teh area, as they tend to travel down to southend seafront, but assuming they dont travel that far, there must be plenty of essex/east london scoobs.

I must admit that I do on the occasion go down to Basildon Mac D's. The A127 is a good drag strip!
So who's Scooby's will I have seen driving around Southend? I have a silver S3.

The first part near Southend is full of cameras but once you get through the 40 limits to the national limits you get about a ten mile run to MacDonalds and there are no cameras.

I live in Brentwood and have a 2001 MY.
Still no waves after 4 weeks of ownership :-(
No cameras on the A127 from M25 to the start of the 40 limit in Southend I believe. Try this link if you want to be sure

You may see my 93 WRX driving about in Southend, normaly on a saturday night.
I was born in Rochford, which is propper essex, but dont live in essex anymore, I do have a lot of friends & relations still in Southend which is why you may see me, & yes I wave to other scoobys.

I live in Romford (know what i mean geeza...init!), and i hardly see any scoobs around my way. Dont blame them!
Notice that as soon as Essex is mentioned, talk starts about cruisin' Southend, and hanging out in McDonalds car parks rinsin' out phat bass!
Where would Max Power be without Essex, eh?! (and vice-versa)

Born in Romford, live in Chelmsford, work in Basildon.
Like Barge says "propper Essex"
The SIDC Essex meet is at the Halfway House pub, the 2nd Thursday of every month. Quite a crowd at each one now.
As the evening moves on, the talk invariably leads us all out into the carpark and in true Essex Style, Carl and Nate will often have a sound off.
There's still a big kid in all of us, its just that our toys are better

The only times I have EVER been waved at has been in my old home town of Wickford (proper Essex!), when I go and visit the folks. Big up the Essex massive, (and the east London ones too!)
Give me a wave if you see me next time!

Essex, Essex, is Basildon part of Essex still (born and bred)
my00, dbm wagon. Always waving....even on the faster roads...e.g A127 me at 70 - 80mph, other scoobs opposite direction, guess 70 - 80mph ( ), so a flash, wave at a cross speed of around 140 - 160mph +, does that count as the fastest wave????, right b4 I muppetise this too much.....
as Pete said, Halfway house, A127 brentwood turn off, next meet thursday 8th, people start there around 6:30 for food, and arrive anytime up till about 9 ish, gonna be real dark there now, perhaps a well illuminated car park, perhaps outside a bowling alley as suggested in last months meet might be an idea as a drive on to.....
look forward to meeting more of you...
rob.

Chuck you arent big and you arent clever!
Moving to essex doesnt count later on in life you sad american wbanker.
Born in rochford lived in deepest sarfend for 21 years.
Ok so I moved to north london, but I brought most of essex with me friends wise.
Just to make it clear, not ashamed of essex in any way. Not an essex boy, but proud to be from round here.
I think the festival leisure park is a really good idea for actually changing the sidc meet to.
Pete, dont know who regional organiser is but it sounds like a great plan.
Pizza hut, and macaroni grill! (you can draw on the tables its great ).
