impreza clocks removing the needles??
hello does anyone know if the needles on impreza clocks just pull up and off or is there a special way of doing it any help appreciated thanks ....

if it's an older classic then the fuel and water temp needles don't come off, they are very fragile and cost a fortune if you have to replace them (usually have to get a replacement instrument cluster @ approx £100)
the rev counter and speedo needles will come off but as above it's a case of prising them off with a couple of teaspoons (use your imagination ), don't heat then though!
it's also a pain fitting the needles back on as they tend to 'unwind' once removed

Needles off
take the needle stop pins out, let needles fall to natural stop, mark place with pencil. transfer mark to new dial face, refit needles to match up with mark, move dials onto scale, refit stop pins, let needles fall back to stops.
Sounds easy, and it is really, but I never quite got my needles spot on afterwards, despite several attempts

ok guys cheers for the help done it now .... someone had put them ebay plasma clocks on the car before i got it and they slipped straight over the temp and petrol guage managed to sort the revs and speedo .... on the dials someone had put on where the 30mph was covering just over 40mph on the standard uk ones .... pretty lucky i not been caught speeding without knowing!!
