Used to be a nightmare on the classics. Make sure you have spares as easily broken. Thought they had to be heated slightly and two spoons used to lift them off - very carefully
Do a search - there might be something about it.

if it's an older classic then the fuel and water temp needles don't come off, they are very fragile and cost a fortune if you have to replace them (usually have to get a replacement instrument cluster @ approx £100)

the rev counter and speedo needles will come off but as above it's a case of prising them off with a couple of teaspoons (use your imagination ), don't heat then though!

it's also a pain fitting the needles back on as they tend to 'unwind' once removed

Thumbs up Needles off

take the needle stop pins out, let needles fall to natural stop, mark place with pencil. transfer mark to new dial face, refit needles to match up with mark, move dials onto scale, refit stop pins, let needles fall back to stops.
Sounds easy, and it is really, but I never quite got my needles spot on afterwards, despite several attempts
