As i'm quite handy in the machineshop i was thinking about making a BOV for my 03 sti, has anyone tried this before or has anyone got a drawing/any info?

Are you handy enough to build a new turbo as well?

 

It's quite simple to turn them out, you need a stepped cylinder, piston fitted in the larger diameter, a side take off that the piston can cover and uncover, then a spring to hold the piston against the step and something to hold the spring in. Spring end needs a vacuum attached, other end needs a boost hose attached, the side take off either goes back into the inlet (recirc) or a nice big trumpet

Then all you need is a brand name and £300 a pop is yours


edit: making sure everything's airtight is probably a good idea too...
