Neither, as they are both Imports .... stick with a proper UK car (I assume you ARE talking the classic??)

Yeah, they are cheap ...... they also tend to be thrashed dogs too!!

No history, suspect mileage, high insurance costs, limited parts availablility, main dealers treat you like you have the pox and they just look very, very tacky!!

If thats what you want - go ahead ...... but, they are cheap for a reason!!!

yes some are? but there are many bads one's to. have a good look around theres lots to choose from. its a buyers market at the min. spend as much as you can and buy as new as you can.

as for parts they are easy to get hold of. not a problem where im from.(notts). yes main dealers dont welcome you very much?

 

The people who say imports are thrashed dogs are talking **** as gaz c said all imprezas have been thrashed at sometime (except pslewis perhaps).
If you buy an import yes you don't get service history but that doesn't guarantee the car will break or will not break.
Parts avaliability is plenty as there are plenty of breakers out there apiengines, grade a subaru etc.
The main dealers may treat you badly so DON'T GO TO THEM find a friendly independant (in Dorset we don't really have a main dealer so I have to use an independant called Triton).
In some cases are people 'jealous' because the imports are higjer spec?
Yes i have an import (93wrx) in 3 years i have had to replace the cambelt and a couple of sensors which are on all imprezas

 

So poeple that i have been talking to are right
parts are easy to get a hold of.
This is what i am worryed about buying one and not
being able to get the parts.

 

Gold wheels are a must, Pete swears by them
