Default MY05 STI PPP Vs EvoVIII FQ300

Should there be much between them. I chased one upto about 70Mph up the slip road leaving Brands Hatch, I was caught "off turbo" in 2nd but was neck & neck when it kicked on so nothing in it really. Does this sound about right ?

In a straight line power to weight shouldn't be an issue and any monkey can point and shoot.

The Evo is a better machine once corners are involved.

Depends on the corners It's well reported that the Scoob is the better car if it gets too twisty, undulating and uneven, as the harsh set-up of the Evo gets skittish. Flowing A-road=Evo, Tight B-road=Scoob. Daily driver as well as fun machine, Scoob every time.

The Evo suspension is stiffer so does bounce around a bit making it more nervous on some pot-hole ridden single track rounds I've been down.

Evo is much rawer and hence the reason I've stuck with my Scoob. There's always an urge to taste the darkside though

The evo is the faster car round a track, the scoob is the more driver active car though, you decide.........

The difference would be very little and probably more down to the driver imo.

I meant that since both have very similar power-to-weight ratios, there shouldn't be much between them.

Is that a bit clearer

But if you've got say 335bhp, 350+ torque, 18" and prodrive springs to sort out the corners even better then you should have him.
