Default Removal of Annoying Dealer Stickers?.

I would be most grateful for any good tips or trade secrets of how to remove annoying dealer advertisement stickers , how do you remove them from the rear screen without damaging the heated windscreen element ?.
The rather large Stan Palmer one is right in my eye line through the rear view mirror and so It will have to go ASAP as it is annoying me , I have tried warming it up with a hair drier but its a stubborn critter and won`t budge at all. I suppose a solvent of some kind such as WD40 may do it but I thought
I would ask all the wise people on here first before I do something daft.

Remove the main part of the sticker using a window scrapper (Get one out of B&Q for a couple of quid in the paint section) I hope the dealer hasn't stuck it accross the elements

The sticky stuff thats left will come off with some celulous (sp) thinners. Pour a bit on a cloth and wipe it off. Don't spill it on your seats though!

Thumbs up

Use a heat gun, (be careful) have a wooden spatula pushed against the sticker then use the heat gun to warm up the sticker, you will find that the spatula slides under the sticker nice and easy, BUT BE CAREFUL not to keep it on too long or you will crack the glass or even melt your plastic trim, use something like type 20 solvent cleaner made by winzer worth to deal with the glue which is left behind.

Regards

Justin

I've just had to remove one from my g'friends z3. The dealer had stuck it on the plastic window with it obviously being a soft-top.

Removed the sticker but all the glue was left behind and would not budge. Found Autoglym tar remover was very effective in removing this, was worried it might damage the plastic window but seems to be fine.

Don't you think dealers should ask before putting stickers on your car? After all if they want to advertise they can but there name on the reg plates

Picked up my MY02 Scooby from a dealer today. They say if I was ever to buy another car from them, and use the car as p/ex and their sticker is still on there, they will give me £50. Quite clever of them!

Just wait for a hot day, leave it in the sun for a bit and it will come off in one-easy!
