In the "Daily Mail" this morning was a story about Highway Insurance (who insure a fair number of greys - myself included - through Keith Michaels).

Apparently they are installing lie detectors on their telephone lines on a trial basis to combat fraud.....

Whatever next ?

Thanks

Gavin

Thumbs down

Evidently not good service from Highway. Been waiting 6 weeks for my certificate after I paid off my premium! Wasters!

Question

That's what I thought. I thought in the eyes of the law and all that, that you have to consent to take a lie detector test and you cannot be forced to do so (or have I been watching too much crap American TV? )

It's all getting a bit big brother for my liking, even if I ain't got anything to hide

Trouble is that people who are most likely to lie about their insurance are probably fairly shady characters all round. Exactly the type of people for whom lying is a way of life, and have got rather good at it. Hardly a nerve racking situation - speaking to an insurance company...

emmm...sort of people that would lie to the insurance company are probably the sort that don't bother getting insurance in the first place...so whats the point.

this is DAFT.

No no, you've got it all wrong!

It's not the client whose lies they want to detect!!
