What Model should i get????
Hello lads,
Well after owning BMW's for years, ive decided to get a Scooby!
Ive got a maximum of £6K to spend. What model would you choose for that money? Also would you go for a UK car over an import?
Ive been looking in the trader and you can get an R/S reg model for that money with 70K miles or so! I think I prefer them in blue or silver!
Any tips ????

I had £6000 to spend 6 months ago, bought an MY96 Version 2 WRX STI import. Really good car, love it to bits!
You could probably pick up an immaculate V2 or a good V3 for that kind of money. I personally went for an import for the extra power. Insurance is a little higher! Just shop round for quotes before buying one!!

If its 6k just for the car, I would personally go for a UK MY00 classic. Should get one with about 60-70k for that.
I'm biased tho, as I just bought one last week. But 95k, and 5k.
Its going to cost me a grand to get it to about the same power as my last scoob though - a MY95 WRX.
However, I much prefer the facelifted front end, interior etc.

Excuse me for being thick...but what exactly is a UK MY00 classic?
I do prefer the look of the earlier Impreza but with the facelift front (98 model)
How does the performance compare with an E36 M3 cos I am considering one of those also!

Cant comment on the M3 having never owned or driven one.

I have just the car for you 98 S, UK turbo, silver, 34000 miles, fsh, MINT condition you will not find a cleaner used impreza trust me, i bought it new Sep 98, no mods except for mid level genuine subaru boot spoiler still have original, can e/mail pics £6700 ovno i am in South Wales.P.M if interested
