Subaru Lower Mesh Grille
The official Subaru part...
Is this easy to fit yourself?
I have just ordered one for MY03 WRX. Hope it can be easily fitted.
Anyone know?

I would imagine it clips straight into place,unless you mean the WR1 style mesh in which case you will have to drill some holes
Post some pics when its fitted(unless its the hugly WR1 version
)
I have the Orciari lower(and upper)grille which was a right royal pita to get it to fit properly

I have the Subaru lower mesh. It clicks into place but requires 3 small holes to be drilled from underneath for self tappers to secure it. The only difficult bit is getting the drill underneath the car, as with only 6" of clearance and the average drill and bit being 14"+ long it may require a ramp, although it may get high enough if jacked to the max. A mate helped me drill mine with a special add-on to the drill which swivels the chuck 90º

Could you maybe post a close up pic of it fitted, as I have not really seen it properly yet.

Thats what I'll be fitting tomorrow, picked it from wednesday, got the recessed one as I didn't like the look of the WR1 style. 3 small screws is what it takes

I'm going to take mine off in the next couple of days and replace it with the Scott lowe grill, soI'll let you know how easy it is.

Here you go D16GER, fitted this morning. No real problems with it, just finding a tiny heave duty screw driver helped to get in the small area, but apart from that brill. The cordless drill only just squeezed under the bumper, so if your car is lowered you may have trouble!.
Looks 10times better and matches the upper grille a treat.
