Default **PFF7's Again**

Sorry to copy and paste this in here admins/Mods, but I didn't get too many answers in the "wheels and tyres forum",Feel free to remove it once I've got some answers, Thank you.. Can someone help, I've nearly convinced the missus into letting me have some PFF7 (Replica's) for the scooby. I've been honest with her and told her I can't get them in 17", so they have to be 18", which she's not dead chuffed about. Can someone give me and honest answer and tell me any probs with tram lining or any other steering probs if I upgrade to 18's !!.

Ps. Can someone photoshop (Cue scoobymad ) some PFF7's in gold, and anthracite on my car below to see what they'd look like.
So who's on 18's out there ???
Or what are a decent set of 17's that will clear Brembo brakes. (Less spokes the better) (above wheels are a pain to clean)

Ta
Chris

I've not experienced any problem's running 18's on my newage WRX. PFF-7's are a good choice as they are fairly light at about 9kg IIRC.

I'm running 18" Replica's on my 2003 STi PPP Chris with toyo Proxes, to be honest it rides a whole lot better on the this combo than it did on the 17" and RE040's that was on before, no tram lining, although i'd of thought that would be more a fault of a specific tyre not the fact your running 17's or 18's.

I went from standard 17's to 18's and even though the looks of the car is improved (admittedly with the addition of Eibach springs), I felt it drove better on the 17's. I am unsure whether it is a result of the tyres (wheels came with Avon ZZ3's which I don't like) but it does tramline a bit more that before.

Pic below, sorry it's not of gold wheels or PFF7's but at least you'll see 18's (and lower springs )

can someone explain what 'tramlining' is - I was also thinking of making the move to 18's. Do you require a setup after fitting them ?

I've got 50mm STi stick on centre caps on mine that came from Fleabay. So far they've not moved and set the wheels off really nicely
