Scooby v Golf GTI
The golf started in front of me but i thought i could pass him easily , this was not the case i struggled to get by him . My WRX turbo is a standard import , I only mod that has been done so far is my back box is a STI and I have a panel K&N filter . I think the need is there to up the power !!!!.
I ended up doing 135mph on a bypass to get rid of him.

You need a classic mate
seriously though,
Your WRX will suffer from four wheel drive transmission loss once its rolling despite your fantastic 0-60 times.
My Classic has an STI back box and filter and i'd be amazed if it made any more power than standard.
The new breed of hot hatches i would imagine would be a match for a standard WRX in a straight line i.e. VXR, GTI and ST, although off the line they will be scrabbling for grip.,
A buddy of mine has an Astra SRI Turbo and trust me its not slow once rolling and i'd be hard pushed to leave him.
Get your WRX decatted and re-mapped and it would be a different story.
Totally transforms the car - so i've been told.

Well after promising not to spend a penny on my standard Classic i have now spent over a grand on it and i have not even touched the engine yet
Once you get used to the power it becomes second nature to try and want more!!!
Try WRC-Tech - they are getting some rave reviews at the moment!!!

What year is your WRX..?
And as the Chief has said decat/remap. Makes the car what it should have been from the factory..!
A mildly modded, remapped blobeye would need to be up against a seriously modded scoob (classic or not) to have any real world performance disadvantage..!
Don't believe me..? Take a lookie at this post #43:

But then this guy dosen't have a clue what he's talking about..!

In gear times? 30-70?
Nope, lets roll out the traffic light GP favorite!
dont be too hard on mr 94 post newbie
hes clearly under a strange illusion
My scoob destroyed a Noble M400 down the strip at santa pod but that doesnt make it anywhere near a supercar,it just proves im better at getting the power down from a standing start
