Default Best pads to stop squeaking??

Subaru can't seem to stop my breaks from squeaking so i'm after a set of decent pads. Any suggestions? They are to go on MY 03 STI.
Also does anyone know where my nearest independent scooby specialist is, i'm located in Luton and i'd rather not get the stealers to fit the pads.

Cheers guys.

David.

Maybe a silly question,Are thay using Copper grease on them? The anti squeal shims dont always work and a touch of grease often cures it,The other thing to try is to file the paint of the edges of the pads so they fit better into the calipers.

They didn't say which type of grease it is they are using but i would imagine it's copper. They fitted new discs and pads before i picked the car up so they have no other suggestions.
Said i might just have to learn to live with it, which i'm not willing to do.

My TT's breaks used to squeak so i went to a place called the tt shop and they fitted some ebc redstuff pads and that cured the problem.

So realy i'd like to know of some after market pads i can have fitted on my scoob to get rid of the hideous squeak.

Cheers.

I agree. And why should you live with it.I have red stuff pads on my car and no squeal,But it should be able to be cured on o/e pads. Why should you have to fork out. They must be doing somethie wrong.I estimate I could cure your squeal in under two hours
