Default HELP! Caliper bolt torque settings needed!

Hi All,

I would do a search, but......

So, can anyone please let me know the torque setting for the front caliper bolts and the wheel nuts so I can change my discs and pads tomorrow...?
Not that bothered for the wheel nut settings as I can feel when they're right, but would like the setting for the caliper mounting bolts as they're errrr.... quite important..!!

Cheers in advance,
Nige.

Found out.

Just in case anyone else is doing the same thing, caliper bolts are 70lb/ft and wheel nuts are 65lb/ft. Similar thread in wheels and tyres section.

I'm a bit worried now though about all the posts on here from people changing their own disks, yet no one knew the correct settings except for Alyn (AS Performance)...

You do use torque wrenches don't you guys..?

Nige.

Wheel nut settings are extremley important. If they are over torqued you could shear the bolts off. Not sure what your car is but my 2003STi needs 110NM.

change my discs and pads all the time, but never used a torque wrench as dont have one. Do the caliper bolts up until theyre tight. Always seemed to be fine.
