Why are so many parts on back order with subaru u.k?
Because they are holding stocks for a given figure of officially imported cars and not incorporating figures for grey imports.
My car has just been repaired with subaru dealer supplied parts, even though its a wrx, lets face it most parts come via a u.k dealer one way or another, (I just gave the body shop my old vin from a previous car), many of the parts were on back order and some minor parts had to be substituted with ford parts(trim clips etc.) because the expected delivery was five weeks from now.
If I owned a u.k car(which I did) I would be pretty pissed off that subaru u.k with its arrogant stance on grey imports was directly affecting parts supply to bona fide u.k car owners. Perhaps if everyone made a bit more noise then they would follow mitsubishi and cave in.

I've just been told that somebody had to wait over 4 weeks for some valves from Subaru UK!
