Their location alone puts me off..... After youve seen them; if you have any questions post them up and I'll do my best to answer them.*

The area put me off yesterday when i went to see a private sale but i have a good feeling about this place, if you want to look at there website here is the link www.japperformanceuk.co.uk .. im after the wrx with sti styling with graphite alloys £4895. expensive but there supposed to be quality cars but i wont pay that.
I spoke to him earlier and he sounded a very nice guy who knew about these great cars, its view by appointment only. there cars on the site look very good clean examples and an indoor showroom for viewing. le us know what you think.

If theyre freshly imported cars then insist on seeing the japanese auction appraisal sheet. Look for a grade 4 car ideally although 3.5s can be nice too. Theres no reason for a legitimate importer of decent cars not have this, none at all.

Hi, well ive been to see the car and im having it today, left a deposit and waiting for my lift back there to pick her up, £4895 and managed to drop him £400...sorted!
Its in mint condition with no scuffs dents or any dodgy painting...its just perfect! i had to chip him some money because of the cambelt issue i had with him, the cars done 115,000 kmh and on the cambelt cover or next to it (cant remember) it said 61,000 kmh, now does this mean it was changed at 61,000 or it was due at 61,000????
when are the cambelts changed on subarus, is it every 40,000 ?????
thankyou
ps: correction..not £500 it was £400 discount! onder2:

Changed at 61,000 kms. With regard to grading, a 4 is all an older car is likely to get, a 3.5 may have more scratches or maybe even a small mark/dent. This doesnt mean that its not a good car though and most auctions wont grade a car thats run over 100,000kms above a 3.5 no matter what. RA and A grades are accident damaged but either very small or very well repaired. Other letter grades are to be avoided as are 3's and below.

I should but I cant remember, it wont be too far away jsut on the distance travelled though. I would certainly get one done as soon as possible because theres a time limit too. I can recommend The Subaru Service Centre in Sheffield for any service work like this; Jef & Dean are both ex-factory trained Bentleys technicians and they cant be bettered on price.

Bob; have the cam belt changed before you spend money on anything else. Youll have no oil pressure to gauge if your cambelt snaps.....

1) belt and service (early prezzy)
2) gauges (early prezzy:d)
3) exhaust (which brand is good?)
4) brakes (4 pots, drilled and grooved disks and quality pads)

Time is more important than distance run. It was changed at 62,000kms and the car has now run nearly double that. How old is the car? Id guess that the cambelt is long since due changing. You cant skimp on maintenance Bob.

hiya mate, cambelt replacement should cost you in the region of 150 pounds,
I bought the car from the same place, the guy did all the cambelt & oil service, worked out better for me.
make sure you get the cambelt changed BEFORE any other upgrades,
regards
