advice needed

just had my type r serviced.£800.it blew on the way home abot 40 miles.they used engine oil flush which ive heard is not good for subarus.is this correct?

Who did the service? No, engine flush is not good for scoobs, best thing for any engine is fresh oil, nice and often.
