www.sidc.co.uk and look under faq's
has the chassis numbers for you to check against or else it should state on the V5C what the model of the car is.

Look at the Applied Model Number: GC8C48D and its a WRX, GC847D and its either an RA which is worth less or an STI Type-RA which was modified from a standard production car and it will be white. If this letter is different (GC8C48D) then the car is older; a B Series car was manufactured between October '93 and August '94. The first 'altered production' STIs have the same Applied Model Number as normal WRXs but they will have a number of easy to spot differences, none will have a crackle finish inlet manifold.
