Wheels? Does size matter?
i've either got to get some new tyres on my 16" rims or i was thinking of getting some new wheels.
question is do i get 17" or 18"?
I've heard that 18" can be a bit of a problem on the classic impreza and my head is telling me that 17" would be the more sensible option. but the rest of me is thinking that some 18" matt black rims as per below would look the nuts on my car.
any views on clearance, handling, acceleration loss? my car is standard height btw.
cheers,
matt.

A few things to take into account. The bigger the wheel the more it weighs. Alloys are supposed to be about REDUCING unsprung weight. Have a look at the lightweight wheels sold by TSL, 18" weigh less than the equivalent 16"!!!
I put 17" wheels on mine, from an '04 WRX but LOADS of people put 18"s on and a few even go to 19".
Depends what you want, I suppose...........looks or handling?
IIRC, the classic rally car never went above 17"s......something Prodrive thought about the handling?
