Smile Hello

Hello everybody,
I've just put down a deposit for an STi TypeR V6, so I thought to introduce myself.
I can't wait to take pick it up
No doubt I'll be visiting the forum quite a lot in the future.

Thanks for the warm welcome guys

It looks like a cracking car, one that I will thoroughly enjoy driving. I can see a few sleepless nights coming till I get it, and a few more when I do (driving around my local b-roads without a particular reason in the midle of the night...)

As soon as I pick it up, I'll give it a good clean/polish and publish some pics

The car is almost std spec, apart from the exhaust (HKS cat back system), and a set of OZ/Prodrive alloys.

As far as plans, well for the first couple of months I'll keep it as is (get used to it first), give it a major service (cambelt/gearbox oils etc), and just enjoy it.

After that maybe a couple of mods...

Anyway, that's what I've said with my previous car and within a year I've managed to spend over 5k on mods . So I suppose we'll have to wait and see. It looks like a car with a huge potential/ability, and I'm definitely planning to finally get myself round the Ring in it (something I've been planning to do a couple of years now), before they close it down (too many people crashing/getting injured...)

Nice choice

Here's some info about the tweaks I did to my Type R after I bought it. These are pretty commonly done things so I wouldn't be surprised if you start going along this route at some point in the near future.
