Default Model question

Okay so now im definately looking for a 02/52 bug eye.

Which ones came with the brembos? only stis?
Did the uk300 come with em?

Really want an sti bug eye with the big wing and brembos. was the wing an option at all?

Just wanna know which models to be looking for exactly.

Cheers

As far as i know mate, only the STI came with the brembo brakes, the UK300 is based on the wrx i believe so not there either.

Although if im wrong someone will soon tell me

okay bud so im assuming all stis came with the brembos, what about the wing? was this an option or aftermarket only. If i buy one without the wing how much is it to buy thereafter?

A genuine Subaru STi wing will set you back IRO £1200 with replicas going for around £500ish. Similar styled wings can be had for less (IIRC Scoobyclinic do a nice high level one fitted and painted for under £400).

You could get a nice 52 plate blobeye instead With STi wing and alloys I've never needed Brembo's, the 4 pots with good pads, braided lines and DOT5.1 fluid haven't let me down once, road or track.

IIRC there were 2 UK STI's on the bug eye model, one was base UK spec the other was the UK Prodrive spec.

The base spec has small spoiler (aka wrx) and a slightly different front grill, the Prodrive had the larger STI hoop + revised front grill.

In this instance the "prodrive" name did not refer to any performance enhancements, although you could also find either of the above fitted with a Prodrive Performance Pack as well.
